A or an is used as an indefinite article, usually followed by a singular countable noun. a或an用作不定冠詞，通常後接單數可數名詞。
A is used when the next word begins with a consonant. a用於以輔音開頭的單詞前。
An is used when the next word begins with a vowel sound. an用於以元音開頭的單詞前。
